Did You Know That Viagra

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

Did you know that when Viagra was launched back in 1998 (it is ten years old now!), it became the quickest selling drug in history. Pfizer can claim to have sold 37 million Viagra tablets in the UK alone. Viagra despite competition from other similar erectile dysfunction drugs Cialis and Levitra is still the best selling impotence medication worldwide and its name is the best known drug brand name in the world.

Did You Know That Viagra.....

For every properly made Viagra tablet it is estimated that at least two counterfeit ones are made in illegal factories around the world. Most of these factories are in China and India and it is reckoned that around 50 percent of what they produce is substandard and possibly dangerous. Contrary to what many people think, you will not get an erection only by taking a Viagra tablet. Unless you are actually sexually aroused you could take a Viagra tablet and not get a single erection in the four hour time window for it to work.

Despite the fact that impotence has become a topic that people are not embarrassed to talk about any more many men are still too shy to go to a doctor and get help. Legal online websites such as Ukmedix help hundreds of men every year by allowing them to have online consultations with a doctor for their erection problems. (more…)

Watermelon as Viagra

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

A cold slice of watermelon has long been a Fourth of July holiday staple. But according to recent studies, the juicy fruit may be better suited for Valentine’s Day. That’s because scientists say watermelon has ingredients that deliver Viagra-like effects to the body’s blood vessels and may even increase libido.

“The more we study watermelons, the more we realize just how amazing a fruit it is in providing natural enhancers to the human body,” said Dr. Bhimu Patil, director of Texas A&M’s Fruit and Vegetable Improvement Center in College Station.

“We’ve always known that watermelon is good for you, but the list of its very important healthful benefits grows longer with each study.”

Viagra is a great workout sportsman

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

When the Daily News approached John Romano about athletes’ love affair with Viagra, the senior editor at bodybuilding magazine Muscular Development laughed.”All the good secrets are getting out,” Romano chuckled.

Viagra, first studied as an aid for hypertension, remedies erectile dysfunction by relaxing blood vessels in the penis.

Athletes have found plenty of other reasons to embrace Vitamin V, though.

Romano said many athletes take Viagra with anabolic steroids before a workout, hoping Viagra’s ability to dilate blood vessels will help deliver the anabolics to their various muscle groups.

“The object of nutrient delivery is to get as much of it in the muscles ahead of time as possible,” said Romano, who said he used Viagra for that reason.

USA approval for once daily Cialis pill

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008
Eli Lilly’s once-a-day version of its erectile dysfunction (ED) treatment Cialis (tadalafil) has finally got the go ahead from US regulators, six months after approval in the EU.

The approval means the new formulation is now available to men on the other side of the Atlantic, allowing sufferers of ED heppy womanto attempt sexual activity at any time between doses, rather than during the narrow time frame dictated by the ‘on demand’ version.
According to Lilly, the once daily Cialis formulation is intended for men who anticipate more frequent sexual activity (i.e. twice weekly), and contains a lower dose than the previously approved version that is taken as needed.
The newly approved formulation, aside from offering perhaps a more convenient and attractive option to men, will also be no more taxing on their wallets. According to Lilly, the wholesale pricing for the once-daily Cialis will be comparable to the as-needed formulation, so that patients who currently use two or more pills of the as-needed version should not have higher treatment costs through using the once-daily product.

Gaining EU approval in June last year, the once-a-day product is currently available only in parts of Europe, but introduction to further countries is expected throughout 2008.

TriMix-gel (TM)

Monday, January 7th, 2008
TriMix Laboratories LLC today announced the introduction of TriMix-gel(TM). TriMix gel has been suggested as an alternative for patients who fail on viagra(R) type pills and cannot or will not self inject with a needle. With twenty million American men currently suffering with ED, current treatments are sufficient in many cases, but there remain more and more men who can’t tolerate the side effects of viagra  type pills and cannot bring themselves to self inject with a needle.
TriMix gel is not an herbal remedy. It contains prescription
medications listed in the US Pharmacopoeia. The active ingredients in this
compounded medicine, prostaglandin, papaverine and phentolamine, have been tested and widely prescribed by physicians for many years. (more…)

Do you still smoke? or abandon smoking or forget about women

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008
If heart disease, stroke and certain cancers haven’t been reason enough for men to quit smoking, consider this: The habit also increases the risk of erectile dysfunction. In fact, emerging research shows that men with a pack-a-day habit are almost 40 percent more likely to struggle with erectile dysfunction than men who don’t smoke.”Smoking delivers nicotine and other vasoconstrictors that close down the blood vessels” of the penis, explained Dr. Jack Mydlo, chairman of urology at Temple University School of Medicine and Hospital in Philadelphia.Erectile dysfunction — also called “ED” or impotence – is the inability to achieve or sustain an erection on repeated occasions. It’s estimated that about two of every 100 American men have erectile dysfunction serious enough to warrant a doctor’s visit, according to the U.S. National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disorders. As men age, the risk of erectile dysfunction increases. A recent study of more than 8,000 Australian men between the ages of 16 and 59 found that those who smoked less than a pack a day had a 24 (more…)
